The first Norwegian Community of Practice (CoP) was held at the beginning of October 2025, and it was focused on discussing recent results from modelling regulation and maintenance ecosystem services at the national scale.

Statistics Norway shared four presentations, covering topics such as air filtration, local and global climate regulation, as well as flood protection ecosystem services.

A key focus of the exchange was the methodological challenges encountered in the modelling process, particularly the differences in outcomes when using national versus European-wide datasets, as well as how the definition of target urban areas influences the results. 

The meeting offered valuable insights into the complexities of ecosystem services assessment and laid the groundwork for further national-level collaboration.
