SELINA to organise EU Green Week partner event in Ireland
SELINA will organise an official EU Green Week partner event during the project’s seventh workshop in Gaway, Ireland, on 30 June 2026. The event will focus on how ecosystem assessment knowledge, including ecosystem condition, ecosystem services, and natural capital accounts, can support private-sector decision-making and contribute to investments in a nature-inclusive economy.
EU Green Week, organised by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Environment, is Europe’s leading annual environmental conference. The 2026 edition focuses on the business case for nature, highlighting how a nature-positive economy can strengthen Europe’s resilience and competitiveness. This year’s
EU Green Week partner events will take place throughout the whole month of June, showcasing the benefits of nature-based investments across Europe and beyond.
As part of this initiative, SELINA’s event will focus on how ecosystem assessment knowledge can support private sector decision-making and investments in a nature-inclusive economy. The session will bring together project insights and external perspectives.
The session will focus on the project's findings on ecosystem assessment knowledge and private sector decision-making by the Capitals Coalition. Plans foresee testimonies from three SELINA demonstration projects, together with a discussion on how integrated ecosystem assessments can be tailored to the needs of the private sector and contribute to nature-inclusive investment
